Jose Barreau, MD | CEO & Co-Founder
Dr. Barreau's passion — to improve patient care through better communication — is the foundation for the Halo clinical communication platform.
Dr. Barreau is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. He completed his fellowship in Hematology - Oncology at the University of Cincinnati, and prior to his retirement from active practice he sub-specialized in breast cancer treatment.
In his role as the former director of the TriHealth Cancer Institute in Cincinnati, Dr. Barreau worked to expand the use of multidisciplinary clinics, which would in-turn improve the quality of cancer care through better communication.
With more than 15 years of administrative and clinical experience, Dr. Barreau knows first-hand the need for physicians to communicate securely and quickly with other physicians and nurses. He is a visionary entrepreneur who is adamant about holding firm on the principles that are the basic standards of the Halo platform: quality and reliability of the product, meticulous client service, and a commitment to evolving the product as the industry and technology grows.
Amit K. Gupta, MD | President & Co-Founder
Dr. Gupta shares Dr. Barreau’s passion for understanding and improving healthcare communication, especially among the various providers involved in an individual patient's care.
His philosophy that timely and effective physician-to-physician communication is the key to improving patient outcomes led to the development of Halo, which at its core is designed to put physicians in charge of their communication and establish a new standard for the medical profession.
Dr. Gupta completed his Master's in Clinical Research at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and earned fellowships in Outcomes Research and in Hematology-Oncology at the University of Cincinnati.
Dale Bailey | Vice President Of Customer Care
Dale Bailey comes to Halo Communications from Quest Diagnostics where he most recently served as Director of Implementations for Quest Diagnostic's Enterprise Content Management System. Prior to serving in that role, Dale also held additional leadership positions at Quest Diagnostics overseeing Technical and Customer Support Services, Application Consulting, and Customer Training.
Dale has over 20 years of years of experience in Healthcare and Information Technology for companies including Siemens, Affiliated Computer Services (Xerox), IDX (GE Healthcare), and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Dale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Eastern Illinois University.
Cathy Conaty | Chief Financial Officer
Cathy Conaty joined Halo Communications in May 2017 as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining she was the Vice President of Finance for Putney Inc where she partnered with the Leadership team in driving significant growth prior to their successful exit.
Over the course of her career she has held financial leadership roles with a number of emerging technology and life science companies where she managed operations from start up through product development, commercialization and profitability. Earlier in her career she held financial and operations leadership roles with the Ethicon division of Johnson & Johnson.
Cathy earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA in Management from Bryant University.
Lindsey Daniels | Director Of Human Resources & Talent Acquisition
Leading the Halo Communications HR department, Lindsey is charged with building our growing team. With a passion for developing talent and creating cohesive work-groups, Lindsey is excited to be at the helm as Halo Communications expands.
Lindsey came to Halo Communications from the Cintas Corporation, where she served first as Human Resources Generalist then as the Talent Acquisition Manager for Global Supply Chain.
A University of Cincinnati graduate, she holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a Master’s in Human Resources, and she has achieved her PHR certification. Lindsey also brings experience leading a different kind of team—she was assistant coach of UC’s Women’s Tennis Team.
Doug Fuerst | Vice President Of Development
Doug leads Halo Communications' development operations, managing and growing our Product Management, Engineering, QA and DevOps practices as the team continues to deliver enterprise communication technology solutions.
Doug brings nearly 20 years of experience in platform engineering with McGraw-Hill Education. Most recently he served as Director of Platform Engineering, where he leveraged his knowledge in technology and management to develop robust solutions that delivered educational resources to millions of students nationwide.
Doug studied Computer Science at The Ohio State University. He is based in the Halo Communications Columbus office.
Kim Hill | Chief of Staff
Kim joined Halo Communications in 2014 to help provide coordination with the Sales Team. As Chief of Staff, she works directly with all the Halo Communications teams to continually improve internal processes, as well as help with daily operations.
Before joining Halo Communications, Kim spent 20 years at Procter & Gamble and two years at TriHealth in administration. Kim’s expertise is in organizational skills and process improvement.
Steve Roth | Chief Product Officer
Steve provides strategic leadership and drives operational efficiency within Halo Communications. Specifically, he is responsible for growing the company's capabilities, scale and effectiveness.
Before joining Halo Communications, Steve led the mobile product team at McGraw-Hill Education, where he successfully expanded their mobile offerings across the full product line.
Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Ohio University and an MBA from The Ohio State University.
Myron Wallace | Vice President of Commercial Enterprise Technologies
Myron is responsible for the ongoing evolution of collaboration technologies at Halo Communications. He is an advocate for the utilization of emerging technologies leveraging cloud strategy, engineering, and architecture to drive revenue, cost control and network efficiencies.
With almost 20 years’ experience, Myron has focused on the design, implementation, and oversight of technology strategy, operations, support functions, processes, and projects. He has also led the development of numerous telephony cloud-based services and products.
Myron holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and a Bachelor of Science in Technological Entrepreneurship and Management from Arizona State University.
